Picture Chandra

Born in Singapore in 29th of November 1959.
He is well-known for his performance works since 1983. From 1990 to 1998 he has been lecturing at various art colleges and attended various international conferences.
He was the head of the School of Fine Arts at LASALLE-SIA, Colleges of the Arts (Singapore) from 1999 to 2002.
Actually he's pursing his Doctor of Creative Arts at Curtin University. His reserch project is titled “Locating the self through Performance Art” which explores the tensions and conflicts during cross-cultural interactions in performance art.
Chandra has been represented in major international shows and recently he has been invited to Venice Biennal 2007 and Documenta, Kassel 2007.
