Eros Bonamini

Criticism

"...A series entitled "Chronotopography", clearly dedicated to the identification of places and events linked to the interior and exterior time of a painting. But these are even more closely linked to the conscious but involuntary sense of time in the mind and with the emotions and realisations coming from its rhythmic beat. Bonomini's aim is to transform time into matter, cramming the space available with an expression of the duration of many visions, but at the same time showing how these visions can suddenly be lost to sight."

Cronotopografie

"...Bonamini's work always has a starting point, a first step which leads to the next and then the next, all carefully placed in a formal labyrinth that waits patiently. This is a way of using the space to build the various time zones in the painting. The artist himself traces this progression and shows only what needs to be seen, never completely revealing the direction his thoughts are moving in. Entering the labyrinth effectively means trying out all the possible directions without ever choosing one in particular"
